Overview

Reporting into the Head of Web Experience, the Web UX Manager is responsible for the optimisation of theaccessgroup.com website and the creation and delivery of enhanced user experiences that grow lead-generation and pipeline revenue. The person in this role is an expert in managing large digital projects, drawing actionable insights from user behaviour data to drive growth and effective stakeholder communication and relationship building. This role is a key point for driving transformation and making a positive difference across theaccessgroup.com in the UK and in international regions, working closely with the SEO Manager, Paid Media and Automation team and Digital Product Owners to deliver the strategy for the site.

Key responsibilities

  • Uphold the central governance of theaccessgroup.com across the globe to ensure a holistic and scalable approach to development and support with consideration for future requirements
  • Create optimised user experiences which deliver form fill conversion at all stages in the customer journey, feeding into the lead process
  • Be the main point of contact for web design and development partners to manage the development and support for the Umbraco platform
  • Work collaboratively with the SEO Manager to collate requirements and develop website functionality with best practice baked in for UX and SEO
  • Maintain functionality, appearance and accuracy of The Access Group’s public website using content management system
  • Ideation, planning, and delivery of UX improvement projects
  • Apply a test/iterate approach to continuous improvement of theaccessgroup.com through an always-on CRO programme
  • Lead on user research: creating and conducting interviews and surveys that provide valuable insights
  • Translating user research results and analytics into user flows and design/development requirements wireframes that lead to intuitive and meaningful user experiences
  • Make strategic, data-led user-experience decisions related to functions and features of new and existing products to encourage form fills
  • Leadership and development of Digital Marketing Specialists

Success metrics:

  • Form fills – bottom, middle and top of funnel
  • Conversion rate from web traffic to BOFU form fills
  • Engagement metrics where relevant

  • Strong organisation skills are critical to this role, facilitating flow of information to ensure key Stakeholders are aware of status, results and plans

  • Experience working with external agencies - briefing, measuring output
  • Proven experience planning, managing and delivering digital projects
  • Proven and solid understanding and experience of the digital marketing landscape, interdependencies and relationships between channels
  • Proactive, flexible team player who can work under pressure on their own to achieve results and also with others to support a wider goal
  • Numbers driven - sets clear goals tied to revenue. Reports on results weekly, monthly & YTD  
  • Ability to measure/maximise plans using latest technology, digital dashboards & software 
  • 4+ years hands-on experience using a CMS (Umbraco and WordPress are a bonus)
  • Experience with user experience research, using conclusions to implement data-led action
  • Solid understanding and practical application of SEO – the elements that influence and best practice
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, SEMrush, ScreamingFrog (or similar)
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML and basic understanding of CSS
  • Bright, proactive, self-motivated, flexible and energetic team player
