You'll be a key member of our payments team, working in a fast-paced agile environment to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires a collaborative, technically skilled professional who has experience in developing scalable and secure web services and applications. The ideal candidate will be working in a similar position and have sound, demonstrable experience working on REST and SOAP API’s. They will also have experience using AI for improved creativity, automation and productivity. Day-to-day, you will:  · Design and develop software solutions to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of languages and technologies. • Work in an Agile (Scrum) team, delivering high quality software focused on delivering team results through both your individual contribution and assisting other team members. • Effectively use AI tools to improve quality and productivity. • Actively participate in requirements analysis, contribute to refinement and take responsibility for understanding scope, risk and complexity of changes. • Analyse, identify and fix of root cause of defects, using debugging techniques and tools • Identify, compartmentalise and execute refactoring where commercially/technically necessary, with a focus on maintainability • Take ownership of key technical components or areas of code. • Support testing of the team’s output where required Your skills and experiences might also include:   • Accomplished in building high quality software using Angular, C#, ASP.NET Web API, .NET, MSSQL, Visual Studio 2022. • Experience in implementing REST and SOAP services • Experience of using AI to enhance development productivity and rapid prototyping. • Demonstrate the ability to prioritise your work and help unblock others, in accordance with sprint goals. • Display a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and good decision-making. • Good understanding of source code management best practices (using Git), and the ability to troubleshoot issues. • Strong understanding of software industry engineering standards, applying them appropriately to the scenario at hand. • Pro-actively seek to coach, guide and advise junior teammates and strive to develop gaps in technical and soft skills. • Proactive attitude and self-motivated with an eye for detail. • Experience of tools like Postman, JMeter, etc. • Knowledge of security standards like OWASP, etc. What are we all about?  The Access Group is one of the largest UK-headquartered providers of business management software to small and mid-sized organisations in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia Pacific.
