We’re an organisation that likes to give back, so you’ll also have one charity day allocated to support a cause that matters to you.     About you: Access Managed Services (AMS) are seeking an experienced and competent MSP Deployment Engineer to join our team to provide technical expertise across a range of customer projects. From Microsoft 365 to Virtual Desktops deployments, LAN and Firewall upgrades and software installs you will add to our pool of knowledge and deliver fantastic results for our clients. As a Deployment Engineer, you will report into the Head of Customer Delivery and Onboarding delivering projects end-to-end, inclusive of discovery, design, implementation, configuration, testing, documentation and fully supporting the process of acceptance into service. As a Deployment Engineer, you will be playing a vital role within the Projects department to ensure the successful execution of the Company’s business mission. You will deliver IT projects ensuring clients are satisfied and their expectations are met. You will have strong customer facing skills and will be working across the project lifecycle, onboarding clients ensuring they are satisfied with everything Access deliver. You will be a dynamic individual who can manage their own workload, understand customer communication and deliver a quality service. You must have good inter-personal skills, well organised and practical, with a logical analytical approach to problem solving. Day-to-day, you will: • Provide project implementation services to clients. • Provide technical knowledge and input into designing and estimating customer solutions. • Understand customer technology, products, and test requirements to recommend solutions to meet their needs ensuring customer satisfaction. • Design, plan and execute customer deliverables using the technologies specified. • Perform day to day management of assigned projects, managing customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction with an emphasis on quality. • Responsible for implementing technical solutions and the preparation and validation of equipment configurations for new installations, including changes within the network, software upgrades and supporting customer migrations. • Lead and take ownership of these technical aspects of customer engagements and implementations. • Develop solution requirements, project plans, estimated level of effort, and provide accurate risk assessments for assigned projects, supported by our Project Managers. • Following standard delivery processes and procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams. • To be responsible for high quality, customer centric communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Apply knowledge of security standards, regulations, frameworks, and best practices to existing methodologies to improve services offerings and outcomes. • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve system issues. • To be an escalation point for the Access Managed Services 3rd line team. Your skills and experiences might also include: • Previous experience within a Managed Service Environment is preferred. • IT project delivery experience. • Experience of deploying solutions as part of a managed project. • Must have extensive knowledge of Citrix VDI, Citrix Cloud, DaaS and VMware. • Experience of administering and supporting the latest Microsoft technologies. • Experience of deploying and maintaining business system networks based on Microsoft technologies. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Working to ITIL standards, this includes Change Management. • Appropriate Microsoft certifications would be desirable for this role, as would experience of working for a managed IT service provider and experience mentoring and supporting team members. You will also need delivery experience of the following key technologies: • Citrix VaaD solutions with extensive knowledge of Machine Creation Services, Provisioning Services, Citrix Cloud, WEM, Director, NetScaler. • Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (2012R2-2022). • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010-2019. • Microsoft Windows Hyper-V/VMware vSphere and vCentre. • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and related server roles (IIS/RDS/DFS/NPS). • Microsoft SQL Server. • Microsoft Office 365: experience of email migrations, Intune deployment, Azure Information Protection and related technologies, Azure AD join, AD Connect, SharePoint Online, Defender for Business. • Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Autopilot and Intune (MEM), Endpoint Management. • Multi-Factor-Authentication, Self Service Password Reset and conditional access setup and configuration for Office 365 and related technologies. • Planning and executing migration of Active Directory domains, group policy, FSMO, data migrations • Setting up and supporting of Mobile Devices. • Microsoft Azure IaaS technologies. • Configuration of email security solutions such as Microsoft defender for Office 365, and Mimecast. • Backup Technologies (Cove and Zerto). • Firewall Technologies (Sonicwall, WatchGuard & Cisco Meraki). • Switching and routing including VLANs and networking technologies (NSX-T, TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, DNS, SSL). • Lease Line installs using Cisco Routers. • Wi-Fi deployments using Cisco Meraki and Plasma Cloud.
