Apply to find out more. Position Summary: Join the Access Family as a Senior QA Engineer to ensure we deliver high-quality software that powers seamless, secure, and reliable payment transactions. You'll be a key member of our payments team, working in a fast-paced agile environment to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires a collaborative, technically skilled professional who champions quality-centred activities and has advanced knowledge of automation frameworks, performance, load, and security testing. Day-to-day, you will: • Advise and collaborate with team stakeholders on the QA approach the wider team should take to deliver quality deliverables • Follow the agreed QA process and approach for both manual and automated testing, to align with the test & business strategy. • Design, execute and record testing to a high standard, taking an approach suitable to an agile, fast-paced environment, according to the product teams' definitions of done • Use AI tools for automating tasks like test generation, execution, and result analysis. • Demonstrate the ability to co-ordinate and plan the QA sprint/release activities, prioritising your work, and help unblock others, in accordance with sprint goals. • Actively contribute to backlog refinement, and take responsibility for understanding scope, risk, and complexity of changes from inception through to delivery • Follow a risk-based approach, make risk-based recommendations, and identify, assess, and escalate quality risks. • Contribute to developing test processes and improvements, create relevant test documentation and perform manual testing activities when required. • Mentor and develop the team around you to become technically proficient with Test Automation frameworks • demonstrate a strong understanding of the difference between functional and non-functional test types and knowledge of where and when to apply them. • Work in accordance with the company's policies and procedures As a well-rounded Senior QA Engineer, your Skills and Experiences likely include: • SOAP / REST API and UI test automation • Continuous Testing within a pipeline (Azure DevOps) • Git-based Source Control • Knowledge of SQL 2019/2022 • API Test tools (e.g. Swagger, Postman, JMeter) • Test repository such as Azure DevOps Test Plans • Experience applying AI tools to improve development, productivity, test coverage and issue management • Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) in a testing or test design context • Solid testing experience and good understanding of test approaches and techniques • Experience assisting in the development of test processes and improvements • Experience with AI-driven test automation tools or frameworks What are we all about?  The Access Group is one of the largest UK-headquartered providers of business management software to small and mid-sized organisations in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia Pacific.
