About You: 

As a Junior Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting hotels with cutting-edge technology that enhances the guest experience and drives revenue. Day to day, you will:

  • Prospect and Identify Opportunities: Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential hotel clients through research, outbound outreach, and networking.
  • Engage with Decision-Makers: Present SHR's solutions to key stakeholders, including revenue managers, general managers, and hotel owners.
  • Manage the Early Sales Process: Qualify leads, schedule meetings, and support the sales cycle, ensuring smooth handoffs to senior account executives when needed.
  • Develop Sales Skills Through Training & Shadowing: Participate in a structured training program that includes.
  • Shadow experienced sellers to observe and learn sales techniques in real-world scenarios.
  • Sales training covering consultative selling, objection handling, and closing strategies.
  • Receive CRM and product training to effectively demonstrate SHR’s value proposition. 
  • Track & Optimize Performance: Use Salesforce and other CRM tools to log activity, measure progress, and optimize outreach strategies. 

Your skills and experience will include:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Hotel Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • General understanding of the hotel industry, distribution landscape, and revenue management principles. 
  •  Interest in building a career in B2B sales, previous sales experience is a plus but not required. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a persuasive and professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn and take initiative. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing and product teams. 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually, with additional On Target Earnings (OTE). Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including location, qualifications, experience, and skill set. Any compensation outside the stated range will be determined in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
