About you:
In this Senior Software engineering role, you’ll be a key member of our wider, highly performing software engineering team. You’ll support our continued commitment to delivering great value to our customers, supporting our ambitious business goals and helping to foster a culture of growth and development across our entire engineering team.
Day to day, you will be focused on:
• Development, deployment, monitoring and ownership of application services and components.
• Collaboration with Product on functional requirements and work with our enabler teams in QA, Platform and the DevOps space to ensure consistently high-quality deliverables.
• Encourage innovation and creative problem solving, challenging the status quo, whilst being totally committed to adding value to the business and our customers.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and direction to other members of the engineering team, being happy to coach and mentor where appropriate.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
• Practical commercial experience of minimum 3 years in .NET development (.NET Framework and /or .NET Core) and hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies such as React and Angular. Knowledge of AWS and azure or google cloud will be a bonus.
• Implementing best practice across analysis, solution architectures, technical design and security & performance engineering.
• Good working knowledge of tools used in CI/CD, source control and test automisation, along with proficiency working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MYSQL and NoSQL.
• Ensuring quality is achieved through engineering by understanding customer requirements, identifying dependencies and risk and clearly communicating and escalating where appropriate.
