About you: Must Have: •Extensive QA Expertise: You bring significant experience in both manual and automated testing, with strong focus on best practices, tooling and frameworks. •Leadership & Mentoring: You have experience guiding and mentoring junior QA team members, and can lead testing efforts from discovery to completion. •You are proactive in your testing approach, always looking to identify risks early and seeking out opportunities to increase test coverage •You are collaborative, pragmatic, positive, assertive, commercially aware and driven to continuous learning/improvement. •You demonstrate great communication skills and are able to communicate with, and advise stakeholders in various departments at various levels, making recommendations based on risk, commercial factors, Quality approach and strategic objectives. •You show a great understanding of best practice, including why QA is necessary, objectives, cost of defects, principles of testing, software development models, testing levels & types. •You actively promote and show ownership of Quality centred activities. Day to Day, you will: •Own the Testing Strategy. Define and refine the overall QA strategy for projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps. •Provide technical leadership in testing approaches, guiding the wider team on best practices and risk-based testing. Design and develop testing to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of techniques and technologies including: •Automation testing for both API and UI using tools such as Karate and Playwright. Mobile automation using Appium and BrowserStack •Write and maintain test scripts to ensure maximum coverage, scalability and reliability in a CI/CD environment. Actively contribute to requirements discussions and requirements analysis, and take responsibility for understanding scope, risk and complexity of changes. •Where appropriate, write, develop and maintain automated Test Scripts within existing Automation Frameworks to help ensure maximum coverage, quality and scalability across products. Demonstrate understanding of automation design principles, best practices, coverage, and strategy applicable of product(s). •Contribute to the development of QA processes and improvements for their projects within a fast moving, agile environment. Advise and guide all quality stakeholders on the QA approach the wider team should take, to deliver quality deliverables. •Follow, and help peers to follow, the agreed QA process and approach for both manual and automated testing, in order to align with the test & business strategy. Ensure manual testing is designed and executed to a high standard, taking an approach suitable to an agile, fast-paced environment, according to the product teams’ definitions of done. Execute CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated tests into the build process to ensure continuous feedback on product quality. •Report to the Team Lead on progress and areas of risk, including metrics where requested. •Work in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Skills, knowledge, experience (Essential/Must Have): •Proven Senior Experience in a fast-paced, Agile environment, taking full ownership of QA deliverables. Deep knowledge of test automation (Karate, Playwright, Appium) and integration into modern CI/CD pipelines. •Proficiency in API testing (Karate, Postman, etc.) and UI testing at scale. A proactive approach to risk identification and risk-based testing. •Good understanding of test approaches and techniques, including non-functional testing. Practical experience with API testing (e.g. Karate, Postman) and UI testing (e.g. Playwright) •Mobile automation experience using Appium and BrowserStack. Exposure to performance/load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling. •Azure DevOps expertise (Test Plans, pipelines, Git, etc) or equivalent CI/CD platforms. Experience of taking end-to-end ownership of quality deliverables. Experience in assisting in the development of test processes and improvements. •Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Understanding for testing best practices for SaaS and web-based products. •Experience using Git or other source control systems. Ability to adapt quickly, learn new tools and continuously improve the QA processes. ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing What does Access offer you?
