The Role
Lead the strategy and roadmap for our Volunteer Management product within our NPE (Non-Profit & Education) division, integrating AI to transform how charities and emergency services manage their volunteers. You'll report to the Head of Product and act as the commercial owner, ensuring seamless execution across teams.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Leadership
· Define and communicate a compelling AI-first product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals
· Champion integration within our charity suite to provide a unified experience
· Own commercial outcomes, ensuring ROI on investment
AI Innovation
· Implement AI capabilities from ideation to deployment, delivering features that drive real value
· Use AI tools daily for product discovery, user research analysis, and workflow automation
· Build proof of concepts to validate ideas before full investment
· Ensure ethical AI implementation with proper data protection compliance
Collaboration & Delivery
· Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Support and Customer Success
· Translate complex AI concepts into clear business value for stakeholders
· Engage with customers through user groups and events to showcase innovations
Market & Customer Focus
· Use AI to analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscapes at scale
· Understand volunteer management challenges, particularly in emergency services
· Define mobile app strategies leveraging AI for intelligent volunteer matching and automation
· Prioritise strategic opportunities over reactive feature requests
What You'll Bring:
Essential:
· 5+ years in SaaS product management in agile environments
· Proven experience integrating AI into products with measurable impact
· Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for enhancing PM workflows
· Deep understanding of volunteer management systems and/or CRM platforms
· Strong commercial acumen with ability to articulate AI ROI to stakeholders
· At least three years of uninterrupted UK residency (NPPV Level 3 clearance required)
Desirable:
· Experience in charity sector or emergency services (professional or volunteer capacity)
· Experience with mobile app development and delivery
· Understanding of data integration patterns and API strategies
· Knowledge of MLOps, prompt engineering, and AI/ML platform capabilities
