Growth Marketing Manager
Job description
Growth Marketing Manager for Trail, part of The Access Group.
Join the Access Family and see how we make software ideas become a reality!
Our core value of ‘Love Work, Love Life, Be You’ has been central to our success and so we’re looking for people to join us who share our passion for making things better every day and help us continue to grow.
We are the number one UK headquartered software provider in the UK and are forecasted to grow to a global population of over 12,000 employees by 2026.
What are we all about?
Trail is changing the way hospitality is run.
From independent coffee shops to enterprise pub chains, to favourite spots like Honest Burger, Wagamama and Black Sheep. We build tools to simplify the daily jobs teams do each day. And we need your help.
Six years ago, our competitive advantage was timing - we were designing a new category. Now, it’s social proof and a tightly focused, well-designed product.
B2B Sales drove growth, but then came 2020. Our customers stuck with us, but the landscape had clearly changed.
We’ve spent the last 2 years updating the product to full self-service, opening new markets and whole new opportunities for product-led growth. And we’re just getting started.
We’re now looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to help us scale to the next level, both in the UK and Internationally.
Trail has always been remote-first. We have a London office that you’re welcome to use as much as you like. Every month the whole team gathers for an All Hands too.
There are three teams - Growth, Product and Customers. You’ll be part of the Growth team, spanning Self Service and Sales, working across the full funnel.
About you:
As our Growth Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of our self-service revenue stream, working closely with the Customer Operations and Sales teams to make sure solutions fit the full funnel.
You will be responsible for setting the growth strategy, ensuring that we build our competitive edge and grow our pipeline. In this role you will also manage our Growth Manager and report into our Digital Product Owner.
Driving performance, understanding your targets, and using your commercial and digital experience to achieve them
Identifying opportunities for business growth, optimisation, and performance improvement using data, setting, prioritising, and evaluating the work generated by the squad
Generation of all appropriate daily performance reporting and weekly/monthly management summaries
Manage a multi-disciplinary growth team and external stakeholders (freelance copy writers and PPC manager) working to challenging targets.
Design, build and run experiments using a growth framework to prioritise and measure impact of work converting insights into action.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer journey, ensuring we are using the right content and channels to attract, engage and retain users.
Set social strategy, choosing topic themes and approving content to ensure a high-quality bar.
Oversee paid marketing budget to optimise our CAC:LTV ratio and maximise pipeline opportunities.
Contribute across full funnel growth (Paid, Outbound, Organic, etc.) overseeing end-to-end collaborative experiments.
Work with design resources to develop visual assets for the website, ads and other content like downloadable guides.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
An understanding of the broad principles of iterative digital delivery, test and learn, prioritisation and a relentless focus on results
A big picture person - not lost in the details or prone to short-termism.
Confident around data - strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn this into actionable improvements.
Expert knowledge of online channels covering: Paid Search, Paid Social, Referral, SEO and the tools they require
Thrive best when in action, identifying how to deliver value when juggling various user and business needs.
Experience managing a team or stakeholders - this role requires bringing together a lot of different contributors.
The ability to balance the desire to move fast and learn, with our high-quality bar.
A degree or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have:
Experience in or understanding of full self-service funnel, optimising activation rates and beyond.
Understanding of scaling a product to other markets
Experience of building organic, more cost-effective mechanisms (such as email, Refer a Friend) to acquire customers.
Understanding of technical pieces like SEO, Zapier, SQL.
What does Access offer you?
