About you:
M&A is a key component of the Access Group’s strategic growth and expansion strategy. M&A Tech is a central function that is responsible for all technology related components of an acquisition covering all aspects of the M&A lifecycle from origination, due diligence right through to implementation and handover to Business as Usual. M&A Tech is responsible for Hosting, Cyber, End User Computing, Products and Engineering and Systems Integration.
Reporting into the Head of M&A Tech, the M&A Tech Risk Analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing a Tech focussed Risk framework that will enable the M&A Tech function to manage its overall risk exposure. The ideal candidate would be a thought leader, able to design the risk framework but also a practitioner who can execute and run the framework, driving risk culture across the function. Once established with a track record of success, the plan would be to syndicate the risk framework to other Tech functions with the organisation to adopt and consume the framework in a sustainable way.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Design and build a lightweight, fit for purpose, risk framework
• Embed the risk framework within the M&A Tech Function and drive risk culture across the group
• Ensure risks are properly captured, categorised and owned

• Create the artefacts, reports and forums required to deliver the risk framework
• Ensure risks are regularly reviewed and remedial activities are appropriate and being committed too
• Forge relationships with other risk functions across the organisation
• Develop risk training as appropriate for team members
Key performance indicators:
• Adoption of the risk framework across the M&A Tech Function
• Demonstrable value (e.g. cost avoidance, cost reduction etc) derived from the risk framework
• Deliver reporting that brings risk profile to life and is actively utilised by the M&A tech function (adoption)
• 100% coverage of risks across the M&A Tech function
Skills, knowledge, experience & qualifications:
• Previous experience of working in or with a structured Risk function
• Experience of working with / developing a risk framework
• Experience of collaboration with risk functions across a complex organisation
• Track record of delivery either in Change Management or Projects
• Exposure to a variety of technologies / technology functions within an organisation
• Experience of working in a medium/large sized global organisation
