About you: As a Software Architect at you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, and lead the implementation of high-quality code. The ideal candidate will thrive on solving complex technical challenges and has a passion for creating innovative and scalable software solutions that customers love to use. Proven experience as a Software Architect or a similar role in a software development environment. Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and distributed systems. Able to propose Enterprise-level strategy for software solutions with clear cost/benefit analysis Have experience with leading teams of Engineers to ensure consistent solution and implementation across the portfolio. Foster open communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams, ensuring a shared understanding of architectural decisions and their impact Exhibit a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving, finding elegant solutions to complex technical challenges. Showcase a successful track record of modernizing and decomposing monolithic applications into microservices or other modern architectures. Understand the challenges associated with legacy systems and possess the ability to devise and implement strategies for their transformation and improvement. Day-to-day, you will: Define and articulate the overall software architecture for complex systems, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability. Collaborate with product managers and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications - design documents. Provide guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles. Mentor and coach team members on software design and development methodologies. Oversee the integration of various software components and third-party systems to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance. Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to enhance the development process and improve overall system architecture. Collaborate with QA teams to define and implement effective testing strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Conduct code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software architectures, design decisions, and best practices. Ensure that documentation is accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your skills and experiences might also include: Proven experience as a Software Architect in a cloud SaaS environment. Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and distributed systems. High levels of proficiency in multiple programming languages, primarily .NET, C# & MS SQL but may also be JavaScript, TypeScript, Java etc. Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
