About you:

You are focused on delivering high quality solutions to given times lines and are comfortable in an agile scrum environment. You are constantly seeking to improve both your own skills and the skills of others and enjoy working in a fast paced dynamic company. You will be expected to mentor more junior members of the team, contribute to planning sessions and architect technical solutions as well as guide the technical evolution of products.

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of software testing, including automation, together with test analysis, plus able to work in a non-scripted environment
  • Experience of agile testing, automated testing, etc
  • An enthusiasm and tenacious attitude to problem solving
  • Good understanding of different software development methodologies and approaches and the role that testing plays within them.
  • Great communication skills and proven organisation capabilities
  • Experience in using distributed source control Git
  • Good understanding of CI/CD concepts
  • Familiar with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Front End and Back End features and products and creation of ‘Testing Requirements’ and ‘Testing Plans’
  • Functional testing, performance testing and stress testing as required, in various environments including web and mobile.
  • Carrying out testing of software projects as per prepared ‘Testing Requirements’, documenting ‘Testing Results’, basic investigation of ‘Testing issues’ so that developers can reproduce and fix issues quickly and accurately.
  • Liaise with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the appropriate level of detail is communicated
  • Managing the overall Testing process so that Back and Front End releases can be co-ordinated and carried out effectively with minimal disruption to Live operation.
  • Developing testing strategies, techniques and procedures to continually improve the Testing process to help developers achieve improved unit testing.
  • Clearly report progress both verbally and in writing, keeping tracking systems up to date​
