We’re an organisation that likes to give back, so you’ll also have three charity days allocated to support a cause that matters to you.   About you:  Reporting to the Cloud Engineering Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the infrastructure services we deliver to our internal and external customers around the globe. The Platform Engineer is responsible for ensuring our services remains available, secure, cost effective whilst performing to design. This role is required to administer, support, maintain our global infrastructure working autonomously and collaboratively with our local and global team members. Day-to-day, you will:  • Installation/Maintain VMware vSphere ESXi Infrastructure environment • Installation/Maintain/Patch/Recovery VMWare Hypervisor physical host • Maintain/Install/Setup Storage for the VMWare estate • VMware NSX-T firewall policy configuration and VPN setup for customers • Virtual Machine Guest OS servers compute resources troubleshooting and performance fine-tuning • Manage the IaaS service for customers • Ensure the replication software is functioning • Perform Upgrades where applicable • Work on assigned Service Requests and Incidents within the documented SLA’s • Familiar on Change Management framework for ITSM support model • Work within an ITIL framework to reduce customer impacting Incidents • Review workload to drive efficiency, move processes and technology towards automation and self-service • Be part of the On-Call support rotation shift Your skills and experiences might also include:   • Managing an enterprise sized VMWare estate • Experience of Active Directory management • Capability to produce/amend scripts • Must be self-motivated and passionate about service delivery to a high standard. • Ability to learn new and varied skills within the Access Group support environment. • Ability to coach other members of staff and impart knowledge in an effective manner • Ability to work well under pressure and within given timescales. • To work within a team environment. • Be able to work outside core working hours when required to apply important updates • Be on call in rotation to handle priority 1 incidents if they occur What are we all about?  The Access Group is one of the largest UK-headquartered providers of business management software to small and mid-sized organisations in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia Pacific.
