About you:
In the Head of Propositions role, you will be responsible for identifying and delivering new and evolving propositions for the HSC LG-TEC product portfolio. We seek an individual with a commercial and customer-focused mindset, coupled with a structured approach to drive excellence in propositions at a fast pace. Your ability to think strategically while executing tactically will be essential for success in this position.
You will handle a variety of tasks, including strategic product planning, pricing analysis, and stakeholder management. Daily responsibilities will involve assessing market opportunities, creating, testing, and validating new propositions, and coordinating their development with marketing communications experts. As the product portfolio undergoes rapid acceleration and repositioning, you will take commercial ownership of new solutions and manage customer engagement and feedback to drive their evolution.
Your role will also include supporting go-to-market marketers in crafting compelling messaging and positioning for strategic products, as well as providing senior management with regular assessments of market position and competitive strengths. Attention to detail and a focus on quality are crucial, as you will need to translate technical capabilities into customer benefits. Over time, you will become an expert in our target audience and their buying behaviour, using these insights to contribute to the sub-division’s M&A strategy and manage the overall portfolio's value and positioning.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Market Analysis and Segmentation: Conduct market analysis to identify key segments for existing and emerging products, developing needs-based personas and go-to-market recommendations while providing market intelligence on buyers and competition.
• Sales and Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales teams and customers to gather insights for proposition enhancements, ensuring that both existing and new products meet divisional targets through performance analysis.
• Proposition Development and Portfolio Optimisation: Develop impactful product propositions, including business cases, positioning, and messaging, while reviewing the portfolio for packaging and pricing opportunities to drive growth.
• Customer Journey and Value Articulation: Work with the product team to design the optimal customer journey and own the articulation of the product portfolio’s value, advising on sales enablement strategies and go-to-market planning.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
• Leadership and Commercial Experience: You will be a strong leader with commercial experience and proven software product and proposition marketing expertise, particularly in B2B technology, demonstrating a history of owning proposition strategy and executing successful product initiatives.
• Product Marketing Expertise: Your CV will reflect a high level of product marketing technical expertise and business acumen, showcasing a robust track record in delivering effective product marketing journeys across multiple product types, with consulting experience as a bonus.
• Analytical and Consumer-Centric Mindset: You will possess strong analytical skills to review data and derive insights, coupled with deep consumer-centric thinking and the ability to connect data to behaviour, all while navigating complex B2B environments with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Communication and Adaptability: Exceptional communication skills will enable you to motivate senior management and translate technical information into business benefits, while your adaptable working style and strong project management skills will help you thrive in high-intensity, agile environments.
