About you:
The FP&A Revenue Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing and forecasting revenue streams to support strategic decision-making within the organization. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams, collecting and analyzing financial data, and providing insights to drive revenue growth and profitability.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Revenue Analysis:
- Analyze historical revenue data and trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Monitor key revenue drivers and provide regular reports to management.
- Perform variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actual and forecasted revenue.
- Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Assist in the development of revenue forecasts and annual budgets.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to gather relevant information for forecasting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue projections.
- Financial Modeling:
- Build and maintain financial models to support revenue projections and scenario analysis.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various factors on revenue outcomes.
- Reporting and Presentation:
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise financial reports and presentations to senior management.
- Communicate revenue insights and recommendations effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Data Management:
- Collect, validate, and organize financial data from various sources.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy in financial systems and spreadsheets.
- Compliance and Analysis:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and research as needed to support decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices in revenue analysis and forecasting.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA or CFA) is a plus.
- Proven experience (5 years) in financial analysis, preferably in FP&A or revenue analysis.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel or financial planning software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606), and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
