Role Overview
An exciting opportunity to lead a team working on one of our core SaaS products within the Recruitment division. You will be accountable for delivering against the roadmap, ensuring both technical excellence and high-quality output.
As a hands-on leader, you will contribute to coding and engineering processes while ensuring the team delivers projects effectively, maintains high standards, and remains motivated and engaged. Quality and usability should be embedded within the engineering process.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
• Design and develop software solutions that meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories.
• Establish, communicate, and enforce development standards within the team.
• Own, manage, and be accountable for specific projects and deliverables, proactively mitigating risks and dependencies.
• Lead the transformation to Agile delivery practices.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and direction to the development team.
• Promote a quality-focused approach, ensuring proper QA practices are followed.
• Manage source control efficiently, ensuring isolation and effective branching strategies.
• Actively participate in testing to ensure high-quality output.
Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead by hands-on example, driving technical excellence across the development lifecycle.
• Motivate and support team members to achieve high performance and career growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, making recommendations based on risk, commercial factors, and strategic objectives.
• Communicate effectively with varying audiences, adapting messaging as needed.
• Drive and implement change to meet development and business objectives.
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience leading development teams and delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Strong technical expertise in:
o Technology Stack: AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
o Cloud Software Architecture: Strong understanding of modern cloud software architectural principles.
o CI/CD & API Integration: Experience building and designing CI/CD solutions and integrating systems via APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to organize development teams for success, build strong team relationships, and provide technical mentorship.
• Experience in designing source control structures, selecting/modifying toolchains, and managing deployment processes.
• Ability to identify risks early, manage projects autonomously, and ensure successful delivery.
• A passion for writing clean, self-documenting, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.
