About you: As the Data Team Leader, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our data initiatives and leading a team of talented data professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and accessibility of our data assets while leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes. Day-to-day, you will: Data Strategy and Governance: • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and processes to maintain the quality and reliability of our data assets. • Identify opportunities for data integration, enrichment, and consolidation to enhance data accessibility and usability across the organization. Team Leadership and Management: • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. • Set clear goals and expectations for team members, and provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to support their growth and development. • Effectively manage resources, prioritize projects, and allocate tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data solutions and services. Data Analysis and Insights: • Oversee the development and implementation of data analysis techniques and tools to extract actionable insights from large and complex datasets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions that drive value and impact. • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through insightful data visualizations, reports, and presentations. Technical Expertise: • Maintain a deep understanding of data technologies, methodologies, and best practices, and stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in the field. • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure, architectures, and solutions. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: • Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements, and collaborate on the design and implementation of data solutions. • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, vendors, and industry experts to leverage resources, share knowledge, and drive innovation in data management and analytics. Your skills and experiences might also include: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing data teams and managing data initiatives. • Strong technical skills in data analysis, data modelling, database management, and data visualization. • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or Java, and experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow). • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of leveraging data to drive business outcomes. • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
