About you:
As a Payments Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the analysis, design, and enhancement of our payment solutions, catering to UK-based Public Sector clients including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Educational Institutions, and Government entities. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, identifying improvement opportunities, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality payment products and services. Your expertise in payment acceptance methods such as card-not-present, open banking, direct debit, and digital card solutions will help shape our product offerings and ensure they meet both business and customer needs.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payment products and services.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and user guides.
• Analyze payment trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform product development and roadmap planning.
• Work with engineering, product, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and assist in solution design.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into detailed functional specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
