About You We are looking for a skilled UX designer, possessing a deep understanding of user-centric design for digital products and the skills and experience to build beautiful and effective user experiences. Your expertise in design thinking and user research allows you to uncover insights that inform your design decisions. You’re passionate about the craft of UX and its business impact, consistently seeking to hone your skills, staying up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices. The ideal candidate will: •Take ownership of projects and see them through to completion while being able to manage changing priorities with support from UX leaders and seniors when needed •Have demonstrable experience in user centred design and with applying the full UX process, including user research, concept design and usability testing •Be flexible to adjust to working on different products with different levels of UX maturity across the Not-for-Profit and Education Division, either by leading on a product or in collaboration with designers and researchers •Have demonstrable experience working with a design system/using tag components alongside working with legacy products that sit outside this system Day to Day You Will: • Follow the UX process and highlight challenges to stakeholders in Product and Engineering •Plan and conduct research to understand users' needs, motivations, and pain points, generating actionable insights for design decisions and improvements in collaboration with user researchers where appropriate •Design interactions, create visual designs, and prototype flows and interactions across various platforms and devices •Evaluate and de-risk designs through usability testing as a standard practice across all projects, ensuring problems can be identified early, reducing the risk of usability issues and future development debt Access UX team members also: •Identify and highlight opportunities to improve the user experience of products inside and outside of day-to-day sprint work. •Facilitate internal and external UX workshops. •Effectively communicate design decisions and present research findings to stakeholders •Participate in the UX community to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Engage with design systems and DesignOps initiatives.
