About you: We are seeking someone who can bring their talents and experience as a senior software engineer with demonstrable skills in database performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have a background in database administration, performance tuning, and a demonstrable understanding of SQL. You will be critical in ensuring the performance, stability, and scalability of our database systems. You are collaborative and pragmatic. You can communicate with, advise, and guide all stakeholders in various departments at various levels, making recommendations based on risk, commercial factors, technical approach, and strategic objectives. You keep abreast of technical developments in the industry and are aware of the evolution in the various technologies you work in. Day-to-day, you will: • Collaborate with development teams to review new code and provide guidance on database performance considerations. • Analyse and optimise database queries and stored procedures to improve performance. • Monitor database performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. • Document and communicate performance improvement strategies to relevant stakeholders. • Proactively identify potential performance issues and propose solutions to address them. • You will be critical in ensuring the performance, stability, and scalability of our database systems. As an experienced Senior Performance Engineer, your skills and experiences will include: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Demonstrable experience performance tuning, investigating and maintaining databases, including MSSQL and Postgres • Demonstrable understanding of SQL. • Ability to communicate and collaborate with engineering teams. You will be helping to improve the performance of various products, a good knowledge of the following technologies is required: • .Net C# • Experience administering databases. • Microsoft SQL Server • Postgres And desirable skills in: • JavaScript • MySQL What does Access offer you?
