About you:
In this Senior Financial Account role, you’ll be reporting directly to our Group Finance Manager. You may come from one of the ‘Big Four’ or a large mid-tier company and you might be looking for the right opportunity to come and join us at Access - a multinational Technology group experiencing significant growth both organically and through acquisitions.
Day-to-day, you will be focused on:
• Planning and facilitating the review of technical accounting items and leading the external audit process.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to prepare statutory financial statements for Australian entities and assist with reporting requirements in New Zealand
• Preparation of accurate and timely group consolidation of financial data with UK stakeholders and supporting the UK finance team with adjustments, clarification or other ad-hoc month end tasks.
• Technical Accounting, working through complex accounting treatments under AASB and IFRS including PPA preparation.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to implement new accounting policies and quantify their impact.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment – you’ll have a team player mentality and be highly motivated.
• 4+ years’ experience with a Big Four / large mid-tier Accounting Firm and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field – CA/CPA qualification required.
• A thorough understanding of accounting standards (AASB, IFRS) and regulations – experience with FRS 02 would be beneficial but not essential.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, analyse, and interpret complex accounting issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
