About You: As a Senior Data Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and optimize BI dashboards and data warehouses. You will work closely with squads to understand business requirements, ensuring that both dashboards and data warehouses are designed effectively to deliver high performance and reliability. If you have a passion for data, business intelligence, and creating scalable data architectures, we'd love to have you on board. Day-to-day, you will: - Collaborate with cross-functional squads to gather and understand business requirements for BI dashboards and data warehouse solutions. - Design, implement, and optimize BI dashboards to provide actionable insights, avoiding performance bottlenecks. - Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python. - Design and implement efficient data warehouses, ensuring they meet business requirements for scalability and performance. - Tune SQL queries for maximum efficiency, ensuring dashboards and warehouse queries perform optimally. - Work with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and ensure data is processed efficiently for both dashboards and data warehouses. - Troubleshoot and optimize existing BI dashboards and data warehouses to enhance performance and user experience. - Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility for all stakeholders. Your Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, focusing on BI dashboard and data warehouse development. - Strong proficiency in relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and experience in database tuning and query optimization. - Proficient in Python for data processing and automation. - Experience designing and implementing scalable data warehouses. - Experience with BI dashboard tools and understanding of best practices for data visualization. - Strong knowledge of database design principles, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques. - Experience with building and maintaining ETL pipelines. - Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams (developers, analysts, etc.). Nice to Have: - Experience with ClickHouse (DB) for high-performance OLAP databases. - Familiarity with Logi Analytics or basic layout design skills for dashboard development. - Knowledge of data visualization best practices and performance optimization for dashboards and data warehouses.
