About you: You in the Revenue Accountant will be a key player within the finance department responsible for overseeing and managing the month-end close processes of the organization. You have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (FRS 102 and IFRS 15), and consolidation techniques. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely revenue accounting data, consolidation of financial data, and compliance with relevant stakeholder and accounting standard requirements. Day-to-day, you will: 1. Revenue accounting: • Ensure month-end close is completed in a timely manner • Lead month-end close activities related to Revenue, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records including, posting journals, accruals, preparing reconciliations etc. • Preparing, monitoring and maintaining divisions assigned ensuring reconciliations, ageing, revenue recognition etc. is correct • Prepare and review revenue related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports 2. Process Improvement: • Assist in the implementation of new ERP tool and migrating existing revenue practises • Identifying opportunities to improve revenue accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance globally • Assist in the implementation of revenue recognition policies in line with FRS 102 and IFRS 15 3. Cross-functional Collaboration: • Collaborate with the financial reporting team to provide accurate and timely information for external reporting requirements • Work closely with the billing and credit control team to plan and manage delivery of accurate and timely invoicing of customers • Collaborate with finance teams, business units, and departments to gather necessary financial data and ensure alignment in reporting processes • Work with IT and systems teams to optimize Rev Rec process 4. Financial Analysis: • Assist in analysing financial results, trends, and variances to provide insights to management. • Support strategic decision-making through the provision of accurate financial information. 5. Audit • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address audit queries effectively • Support external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations in a timely manner Your skills and experiences might also include: • 2+ years PQE experience with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. • Chartered accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and strong knowledge of Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis. • Specific and detailed knowledge of applying IFRS15/FRS102 arising from previous experience in a large accounting firm and/or the Finance team of a multinational business (preferably SaaS business) • SQL experience preferred What are we all about?   The Access Group is one of the largest UK-headquartered providers of business management software to small and mid-sized organisations in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia Pacific.
