About you:
You in the Revenue Accountant will be a key player within the finance department responsible for overseeing and managing the month-end close processes of the organization. You have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (FRS 102 and IFRS 15), and consolidation techniques. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely revenue accounting data, consolidation of financial data, and compliance with relevant stakeholder and accounting standard requirements.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities, including revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Assist in implementing a new ERP tool, migrating revenue practices, and enhancing global revenue accounting processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with FRS 102 and IFRS 15.
- Collaborate with financial reporting, billing, credit control, and IT teams to ensure accurate and timely external reporting, invoicing, and optimized revenue recognition processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with audit requirements, providing accurate information and timely support for external audits.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
- 2+ years PQE experience with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Chartered accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and strong knowledge of Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis.
- Specific and detailed knowledge of applying IFRS15/FRS102 arising from previous experience in a large accounting firm and/or the Finance team of a multinational business (preferably SaaS business)
- SQL experience preferred
