  • You can understand some basic principles of QA, including: Why QA is necessary, objectives, cost of defects, principles of testing, software development models, testing levels & types.

  • You are interest in gaining experience in new (relevant) approaches, including automation

 

Day-to-day:

  • With guidance, design, develop and write test cases for our career development SaaS applications
  • Simulate an end-user, identify problems and document issues
  • Conduct described manual and automated testing on development, staging and live platforms
  • Identify test requirements from specifications; design and document testing plans
  • Execute test scripts appropriately, logging time, tracking progress. Follows appropriate sign off and process when testing complete
  • With guidance, write, develop, and maintain automated Test scripts
  • With guidance, complete the Root cause on defects
  • Report to the QA Lead on progress and areas of risk
  • Isolate, replicate, and report bugs and verify bug fixes

  • Working in an Agile environment, actively contribute to requirements discussions and requirements analysis

 

As a well-rounded QA Engineer, your Skills and Experiences likely include:

 

Essential:

 

  • Demonstrate a positive approach
  • Genuine interest in learning/implementing test approaches and techniques, including specific approaches for SaaS and web based products
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand some basic principles of QA, including: why QA is necessary, objectives, QA activities, who should be involved in QA, the importance of defect tracking
  • Ability to write test cases which cover requirements, acceptance criteria and relevant end to end scenarios
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
  • Ability to collaborate with quality stakeholders on QA deliverables and approach
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Desire to work with a highly successful team to achieve the deadlines to deliver product releases
  • Show a commitment to self-development and lifelong learning

 

Desirable:

 

  • Experience or use of XRAY in Jira
  • Experience or understanding of automated testing
