We’re an organisation that likes to give back, so you’ll also have three charity days allocated to support a cause that matters to you.   Day-to-day, you will:  • As a principal member of this team, you will be part of a SaaS product in ERP division and be based in our Kuala Lumpur office with regular engagement with team members based in the UK office. • Technical Leadership: Define and drive the long-term technical strategy, ensuring alignment with product goals and scalability requirements. • Architecture & Design: Lead the design of robust, scalable systems; advocate for best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. • Team Mentorship: Guide senior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of innovation, learning, and ownership. • Tech Visionary: Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, cloud-native tools) and champion their adoption to keep the product ahead of the curve. • Delivery Excellence: Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features while maintaining system reliability and performance. Your skills and experiences might also include:   • 10+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a principal or lead architect role. • Deep expertise in .NET languages (Core/Platform), ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)). • Skilled in implementing best practices in all that you do, such as requirements analysis, solution architecture, technical design, and security & performance engineering. • Strong understanding of architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC). • Hands-on experience working with modern frontend technologies such as React or Angular. • Proven track record of leveraging Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Functions, App Services, Azure Storage, SQL Database, Service Bus etc.) to design and implement robust cloud-based solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit for test-driven development (TDD) and ensuring robust code quality. • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools with hands-on experience in automating build, test, and deployment pipelines. • Reliably analyze and estimate development requirements and apply the Agile framework to tracking and predicting delivery commitments. • Onboard, train and guide junior engineers to enable them to perform in their role and deliver product features.
