You’re passionate about data and the ever-evolving technology that is used to leverage it.
You enjoy the “people aspects” of your role, and form good relationships. You are trusted and respected.
You’ll be the foremost technical authority in the Data Analyst team within the Data Solutions Centre of Excellence, driving forward the development of our Analytics portfolio, including efficient and clearly documented data products and pipelines within an agile working environment.  This is a career-defining opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-growing organisation.

Day-to-day, you will:

Create and deliver data-driven and evidence-based product metrics and report them using clear and compelling visual, numerical, and written summaries.
Pair with junior team members on their work, with the ultimate goal of elevating them to the same level of technical capability as yourself (or beyond!).
Assist Data Engineers and Data Scientists to evaluate and make recommendations for data gathering techniques that will improve the efficacy of machine learning models and other analytical systems.
Optimize reporting dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.
Play a key part in the coordination of project work in the team, supervising the work of others.
Establish high technical standards in the team (including guidelines for documentation, testing) and ensure that these are consistently met (eg, through code reviews).
Contribute heavily to a culture of knowledge-sharing, both within the team, and in the wider organisation.
Spend time with your stakeholders, forming great relationships with them and becoming a trusted partner.
Your Knowledge and Skills will include:
Strong Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server development skills (a Tableau public profile is a plus).
Excellent ability to design and execute complex queries using SQL for ELT processes.
Good ability to build queries in SQL and/or PySpark to import data in Tableau from Databricks or another cloud platform.
Familiarity with R, Python or an equivalent programming/data science language.
Advanced skills in Excel, including ability to transform Excel data analytics workflows into Tableau or Databricks.
Excellent understanding of data privacy and ethics relevant to the Data Analyst role.
Good understanding of data pipelines, data quality assurance and testing for production level dashboards and reports.
Ability to define user stories and product requirements and prioritise team workload according to stakeholder priorities.
Ability to develop junior members of the wider team in all areas of the role.
