Day-to-day, you will:   • Provide technical support in relation to the shared and centralised infrastructure and associated environments across multiple data centres, including software, hardware, and network infrastructure, both virtual and physical where appropriate. • Diagnose incidents utilizing reviews of systems logs, monitoring solutions, database queries and investigative tools to restore normal operation as quickly as possible. • Identify problem areas for subsequent downstream investigation and resolution • Work as part of the team to ensure 99.9% availability for customers and take part in the out of hours support on a rota basis within the technical support team.    Your skills and experiences might also include:    • Good working knowledge of Linux infrastructure. Network and hardware knowledge is also desirable. • A good understanding of SQL and the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries. MS-SQL and/or MySQL experience is advantageous • Knowledge and experience supporting Java/.NET web applications and services • Able to provide Out of Hours support on a rota shared within the team and on an ad hoc basis if required.
