About you: • You are an enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer, open-minded and eager to learn with an eye on what makes use of software enjoyable. • You take pride in your work and the work of your team, ensuring we delight users with our software and make their lives easier every day. • You display ownership and responsibility to achieve your tasks. • You understand software industry development standards, applying them appropriately to the scenario at hand. • You understand source code management best practice (using Git). • You have the ability and motivation to test your own work and that of others to ensure we maintain our high-quality standards. • You’re a great team player, embracing the good team spirit and transparent relationships with other members and external to the team stakeholders. Day-to-day, you will: • Work in an Agile (Scrum) team, delivering high quality software focussed on delivering team results through your individual contribution. • Contribute to requirements discussions and requirements analysis and take responsibility for understanding scope. • Understand, identify, and adhere to our preferred design patterns, coding standards and definition of done. • Design and develop software solutions to agreed and elaborated requirements using a range of languages and technologies including .NET, SQL Server, Azure Cloud Services. • Participate in the agile delivery process and approach is followed, including estimation/planning, Scrum events, releases. • Creation of technical documentation where required. • Work in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. • Support test automation activities (unit test coverage). • Have an eye on code security standards and actively helping with identifying and addressing security concerns raised by automation scanning tools. • Work on “infrastructure as code” approach for the cloud native projects.
