About You: 

You will lead the Vision, Product Strategy and Management of our Accountants products in Australia.   As a thought leader, you will engage regularly with customers, our leadership team and collaborate with internal stakeholders to set the strategy and vision for our Accountants products.  You will lead a small team of Product Managers and Product Owners who will work with our engineering team to deliver the product roadmap to drive positive outcomes for the business and our customers.

Commercial expertise is critical with a track record of successfully developing and growing a portfolio of complex products. While much of the Accountants portfolio consists of newer cloud native products, you will also need to manage legacy solutions and deliver on the roadmap of a fully cloud native suite and the path for our customers on our legacy solutions to move to the cloud. 

This role requires a track record of being an industry leader contributing to the advancement of product in the Accountants sector or a similar/adjacent industry in the ANZ region. You are comfortable addressing audience’s at large events & contributing to forums; a ‘big-picture’ thinker and decision-maker that has their hands on the right metrics and using these to drive business value creation through products.  

 

Day-to-day, you will: 

An active and influential part of the APAC Product Development Leadership Team, responsible for the planning and management of the entire Accountants product portfolio, contributing to the achievement of our growth and client satisfaction targets.  

A proven product leader able to formulate a fact-based, compelling, innovative and forward-looking product vision and roadmap. You will be a lead contributor to the strategic direction for our Accountants business in Australia. 

Responsible for the Product Strategy of the Accountants portfolio in Australia, including the portfolio’s commercial strategy, innovation, strategic partnerships & acquisitions and reporting & performance against KPIs to ensure product profitability and market growth.  

Communicating a compelling vision and strategy for excellence in product management, creating robust, reliable, transparent and scalable processes, driving the implementation of best practices and utilising appropriate measures and KPIs to ensure production efficacy.  

Providing Product Management & Product Development leadership, direction and mentoring to the Product team, driving engagement & progression within a team of product managers, software developers and QA professionals.  

Working with the Head of Corporate Development ANZ on acquisition opportunities, including analysis of the product assets, production techniques/approaches, target meeting and due diligence. 

 

Skills and Experience:  

Significant commercial Product Management experience with a track record of successfully developing & delivering a growing portfolio of complex products across multiple technologies and distributed workforces.  

Excellent leadership, motivation and team development skills, able to cross boundaries and collaboratively drive excellence through positive change.  

Experience and track record of being an industry ‘Evangelist’ contributing to the advancement of software in a specific industry or sector. 

Experience in SaaS and Cloud technologies and Product Management processes to help enhance and drive our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product offerings. Preferably with deep subject matter expertise in the Accountants software solution areas.  

Ability to think creatively and introduce best practice, emerging technologies and fast-paced innovation. 

Ability to influence a wide number of senior stakeholders both within the region and globally  

A high degree of self-awareness and judgement, and ability to take a personal stand on issues when required  

Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and spoken communications
