You are an innovative individual, ready to challenge yourself and a team of catering professionals in to creating delicious and consistent food. Promotes organisational skills, cleanliness, professionalism and care for customers satisfaction.
You must be passionate about food, ingredients and creating a smile when people eat.
Someone who is driven with the ability to create and change menus and recipes to keep food fresh, dynamic and seasonal and to budget.
Day-to-day, you will:
Prepare and cook for circa 350 people daily including breakfast and lunch menu’s
Motivate and organise your team of Sous Chef and Assistants to ensure a productive and successful day
Take charge of the Catering and ensure high standards of customer service and staff satisfaction through food production
Assist in menu development
Plan, prepare and cook food for Access staff, Guests and Visitors
Create one of menu’s for specific and seasonal catering events
Create a daily specials that are current, seasonal and update menus
Ensure high standards of cooking and presentation for all food
Liaise with Facilities Partner on all Menu changes and specials
Update and maintain a 4 week menu
Ensure allergens information is current and up to date
Reduce and manage food waste
Ensure strict budget management
With assistance ensure timely stock orders to ensure there is no delay in food and service
Stock take and ensure stock rotation is undertaken by other
Ensure standards for EHO visits by adhering to standards and ensure the HACCP is adhered to
Ensure due diligence paperwork is completed
Ensure a high standard of hygiene in the catering area
Have insight and overview of the Epos system
Manage training levels of all Catering staff and highlight gaps
Flag up any faults or failures in Catering equipment for a timely fix/replacement
As a well-rounded Chef your Skills and Experiences likely include:
Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Professional Cookery or be time served cooking in a similar environment and to similar numbers
Level 3 food hygiene.
