About you:
You will work in the Finance platform team, focused, collaborative and enthusiastic to supporting our internal and external customers. You’ll be the expert in what and how to support and deliver global finance system solutions, including a group financial reporting solution, collaborating with our Finance colleagues. You’ll be brilliant at updating and provide stake holders with timelines, options and implications to find the best solution. You will be able to communicate the technical aspects in an easy to understand way, and discuss the technical language associated with other colleagues when needed. You’ll also be able to communicate and collaborate with different teams across Access to escalate issues and deliver projects.
Day-to-day, you will:
• Support case queries and issues from internal customers
• Design, develop and maintain OneStream (Group Reporting Solution) across the business.
• Continuously assess the finance system landscape, identifying opportunities to automate and/or reduce manual effort to support the operational effectiveness. Utilize SQL/T-SQL to assist in queries and automate existing processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful implementations.
• Implement and test requirements, against agreed timelines, ensuring key stakeholders are updated throughout.
• Prioritize opportunities to improve design and implement changes with a future-proof mindset, balancing short-term fixes when necessary.
• Ensure the secure and sensitive handling of all data throughout processes, adhering to data protection regulations.
• Monitor changes, further opportunities to improve, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.
• Balance day-to-day operations (BAU) and project demands, effectively prioritizing tasks within a collaborative team environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on data quality issues, promptly addressing challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Train and support end-users to ensure smooth adoption.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
• Proven experience working with well-known EPM/Finance Reporting systems ideally One Stream. Great if you’re OneStream certified, but not essential.
• General understanding of Finance processes and what best in class looks like.
• Good understanding of T-SQL language
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proactive approach, inquisitive by nature with a strong eye for detail
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skill – especially Excel
• Excellent understanding of data protection practices and requirement testing with attention to detail.
• Good presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment.
• Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and personal skills and capability.
