About you: We are seeking a Solution Architect with a deep understanding of Finance Platform systems and processes to join our Finance Platform Team. You will be responsible for architecting FP solutions and acting as ‘design authority’ for the FP landscape. You will work in close collaboration with business functions and our Global Technology Services (GTS) teams: Enterprise Architecture, Customer Platforms, Data Solutions, Employee Platforms, Cyber Security, Infrastructure Technology & Operations. Day-to-day, you will: • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand and capture business requirements, stories, benefits and technical specifications. • Collaboration with technical stakeholders (architects, product owners, technical teams, SME’s, vendors) to architect a solution to satisfy business needs and technical requirements. • Understanding of and ability to apply the BDAT approach to architecture. • Develop and document comprehensive solution architectures for Finance Platform systems, including system integrations, data flow, and security. • Leverage architecture patterns, blueprints, Well Architected Frameworks in creation of solutions. • Identification and management of solution risk. • Creation of artefacts (documents, views, presentations) to cater for a wide variety of stakeholders (technical stakeholders through to business stakeholders) • Leadership. Provide solution leadership, guiding delivery teams. Acting as design authority. • Keeps up to date with emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Research and evaluate technology solutions. • Operate within Access Group Architecture governance framework. • Collaborate with Finance leadership, Group Architecture, and other key stakeholders to develop roadmaps to articulate near term through to longer term change and transformation initiatives. • Contribute to Access Global Technology Services strategy. • Evangelise - Formulate and lead conversations with a compelling picture of the commercial benefits of Enterprise and Solution Architecture. • Win buy-in and investment from non-technical counterparts/sponsors. • Work with minimal supervision, using your experience and discretion to make good decisions on how to progress projects through value-adding milestones, and overcoming blockers. This takes place in alignment with high-level deliverables agreed with supervisory individuals/groups; where a departure is necessary from these, you make the appropriate communications to make sure that all parties are on the same page. Your skills and experiences might also include: • A proven track record of delivering value-adding architecture work in a fast-paced, complex commercial environment. • Ability to easily form good relationships with peers and stakeholders; emotional intelligence; balanced perspective. • Hunger to make a material difference to a business with a lot of runway ahead of it in respect to the maturity of architecture practices. • A high level of familiarity with one or more architecture tools, which can easily be ported to The Access Group’s strategic tooling choice (Ardoq). • Breadth of technology understanding spanning technology (on-prem / cloud) and applications, supporting the depth in Finance Platforms technology. Desirable Training / certifications • BCS Certificate in Enterprise and Solution Architecture and/or TOGAF or equivalent • Modelling language (e.g. UML, BPMN, Archimate) • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture tooling (Ardoq preferred) What are we all about?
