We are seeking a experienced Engineering Team Lead to build a new team based in Vietnam to build new features for our Onboarded product in the Recruitment market. You will work closely with teams in the UK, Australia, Vietnam and India to deliver innovative solutions that drive efficiencies for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled communicator with a strong technical and people leadership background to make a significant impact on a global scale. Prior experience in the recruitment industry is not required, but a passion for understanding customer needs and delivering impactful products is essential. About you: - You are an accomplished full-stack Engineer with experience building high quality SaaS software - You have a strong understanding of software industry development standards, applying them appropriately to the scenario at hand - You take pride in your work and enjoy delivering quality software that will make a difference to our customers. - You will contribute to engineering processes within the team, whilst ensuring the team delivers projects, maintains technical and quality standards and is motivated and engaged. - Able to communicate with, advise and guide key stakeholders. - Experience in leading teams that can produce high quality, clean and self-documenting code. Day to Day, you will: - Design and develop software solutions to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of languages and technologies. Ensure engineering standards are established, known and followed within Scrum team. - Actively participate in requirements analysis - Analyse, identify and fix of root cause of defects, using debugging techniques and tools - Identify, compartmentalise and execute refactoring where commercially/technically necessary, with a focus on maintainability - Proactively contribute to Technical Roadmap, demonstrating good understanding of technical, commercial and risk factors, and recommending priorities. - Own, manage and be accountable for specific projects and deliverables, managing risks and dependencies with autonomy. - Provide technical leadership, guidance and direction to other members of the development team - Champion a quality focussed approach showing ownership for QA activities and collaboration with the QA team. Prepared to test own work and that of others to ensure quality. - Build and mentor a new team of Engineers in Vietnam and helping with their own career growth. Skills, knowledge, experience likely include: - SQL Server, .NET Framework/Core - HTML, JavaScript, Angular - Unit Testing - Cloud-native technologies (AWS and/or Azure) - Automated Build (CI) and Deployments using Azure DevOps; Git-based Source Control - Security Tooling & Best Practices What are we all about?
