Key Responsibilities: We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Development department. This role will oversee multiple development teams, including direct management of the Development Team Lead. You will be responsible for mentoring and managing the performance and personal growth of software engineers while ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong stakeholder management. Technical Leadership & Delivery - Manage the day-to-day work of the Development department, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output. - Provide strategic and technical guidance across multiple cross-functional teams. - Drive and implement best practices within Agile Scrum, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Work alongside the Product Team to manage strategic projects and tactical fixes throughout the full development lifecycle. - Ensure effective software development lifecycle management, delivering complex projects across multiple workstreams on time and within budget. - Champion software engineering excellence, promoting high availability, scalability, and performance. - Manage stakeholder relationships, including third-party suppliers and contractors. Team & People Management - Mentor and manage the performance and career development of software engineers and the Development Team Lead. - Participate in hiring and onboarding new staff, ensuring the growth of a strong engineering team. - Foster an engaging and high-performance work culture, ensuring teams are motivated and aligned with business goals. - Adapt to changing business and marketplace conditions, ensuring the team remains agile and responsive. About You Skills & Experience - Proven experience in leading development teams or departments in a scaled production environment. - Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile delivery practices. - Strong technical background, with expertise in: 1/ Technology Stack: AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails (Python acceptable), ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. 2/ Cloud Software Architecture: Strong understanding of modern cloud software architectural principles. 3/ CI/CD & API Integration: Experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions and integrating APIs. - Experience managing large-scale, high-availability software solutions in a public-facing environment. - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with both internal teams and external partners. - Demonstrated ability to balance technical, strategic, and business priorities while delivering high-quality software solutions.
