We are looking for a User-Experience Designer to work within our growing UX team in the UK as part of a new DesignOps function. Working as part of an ambitious UX team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our transformation into the next stage of design maturity at Access.
This is a challenging role in an exciting fast paced company with lots of opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects.

In this role you will work closely with our UX design teams distributed across the UK, to help enable the team to maintain a consistent and unified user experience across our extensive & diverse portfolio of SaaS solutions on the Access Workspace platform. The focus of this role will be on process and impact, providing tools and developing the frameworks, design systems, processes and governance required to make sure the team can focus on their users and products.
We are looking for a collaborative team player and strategic thinker with great organisational skills, you'll need to be a self-starter / self-motivated as this role has a great deal of autonomy.

Day to day you will:
• Work closely with the UX team to build and expand our design systems and tools
• Be responsible for evolving the visual design of our components and products across the Access Group
• Lead the design and build of a new Experience Language that incorporates our component library
• Initiate and manage your own projects along with requests from the UX team.
• Roll out and manage internal UX tools
• Produce documentation, templates, process guides and playbooks
• Work with the team to share knowledge and training to junior members and other departments.
• Help determine visual styles shaped by a robust understanding of colour theory and typography
• Use atomic design principles to facilitate the design development of more complex design patterns
• Monitor the effectiveness of component library and make improvements to components and processes where applicable
• Work closely with developers to ensure that shared components are implemented to the highest standard
• Conduct user testing on components to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet with the latest accessibility guidance
