About you: The Category Manager position is a new role that has been created to sit within the Procurement team. This position will support the business in developing and optimizing our material supplier relationships, ensuring we achieve best value for our spend and that we have the right controls in place as we continue to scale as an organization. Procurement is a new centralized function within the Access Group that has been formed, and will service the entire business. The team sits within Group Technology and Data Services (GTDS) area. As Access is continuing to grow, it’s important we have the right rigor and governance in place, especially when sourcing and managing new and existing third party deals, whilst ensuring we are achieving the right commercial outcomes for the company. This role will offer the right candidate an exciting opportunity to get involved in the early stages of the formation of the team, input into the procurement strategy and work alongside some awesome people! Day-to-day, you will: • Partner with stakeholders to develop a category strategy considering business plans, market dynamics, supply chain innovation and opportunities • Shape and deliver supplier focused strategies to ensure we achieve the best value from our supply chain including cost savings • Manage the supplier engagement and partner with the business, and build effective relationships with key suppliers to improve the quality of services and pricing • Produce quality supplier performance management and contract oversight documentation • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and manage supply chain risk • Support the Head of Procurement to develop and implement procurement related policies • Act as a trusted business advisor to internal stakeholders • Manage cross functional teams through delivery of strategy, sourcing, commercial and contracting support activities • Develop your industry experience through market research, optimize market/ services within the procurement category to fulfill business needs • Champion the procurement brand within the organization and demonstrate team value Your skills and experiences might also include: • Considerable experience in procurement and supplier management • Previous experience of overseeing supplier performance to optimize supplier delivery and achieve best value • A self-starter, who gets stuck in and can work on their own initiative • Broad strategic oversight and commercial mindset • Strong negotiation skills to influence the right commercial outcomes with suppliers • Considerable experience in working within ambiguous requirements • Juggle and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure we deliver on key priorities • Proficient contract review and management skills • Solution driven, confident and friendly approach in dealing with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders What does Access offer you?
