- You will need a strong background in data lake/data warehouse management (from a strategy/planning side more than a technical one, although the latter would be an advantage), and experience of ingesting data from product databases for secondary use.
- You will work as part of an established data services team focused on delivering business value from our data assets.
- You will research, design and specify key systems for development and use your business knowledge, technical and commercial awareness to drive future enhancements, as well as working with the sponsors and project teams to define project goals, scope, and timelines.
- Work alongside the data platform product owner to deliver the product roadmap for the data estate and market sectors aligned with the company Strategy and Vision.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the group, collating and analyzing information regarding technical systems and processes to achieve desired outcomes.
- Use sound understanding and appreciation of the Market, customer (or internal) problems and competitive landscape along with research and metrics to inform decisions.
- Contribute to developing innovative new ideas.
- Play a vital role in managing changes from idea to obsolescence.
- Ensure that solutions are appropriately documented so that other areas of the business can easily find and exploit the relevant assets.
- Work with the other Product Managers/Business Analysts to understand the overall portfolio, facilitating the overall product strategy, integration, and exploitation opportunities.
Strong analytical skills able to abstract business process flows and key drivers and metrics from user interviews and systems documentation.
Pragmatic modelling ability to derive models, processes and representations of a meaningful nature that are computationally feasible and robust.
Fully aware of data quality and issues and the impact of classification diversity across organizations and individuals.
A firm grasp of data privacy regulations and an understanding of tools/techniques to comply with them.
Experience with either Health or Social Care, particularly with interoperable standards such as HL7, FHIR or Open EHR.
Good understanding of SQL and / or dimensional modelling (star schema)
Flexible and pragmatic, able to respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelines by using effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to think creatively and exploit opportunities.
Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written/technical documentation.
Proactive, works at pace, goal orientated with a strong delivery/milestone focus.
Demonstrates sound judgement, able to make decisions independently whilst recognizing when to escalate for more senior approval.
Identifies issues early and prioritizes appropriately.
