About you:
You are a dynamic individual who can manage their own workload, understands customer communication and delivering a quality service for our user base. Has good inter-personal skills. Is well organised and practical, with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving. Pays careful, close attention to detail. Is skilled in installing one or more items of hardware and software.
Day-to-day, you will:
Your day-to-day:
•Engage in engineering phases of backup software and related storage solutions delivery including planning, design, build, testing, and transition to operational support
•Perform backup software installations, system software maintenance and product upgrades in a high availability environment
•Work hand-in-hand with other teams to ensure production systems are backed up and maintained in optimal configuration
•Provide input to analysis, design and direction regarding performance management and capacity planning services with regard to backup infrastructure and related processes
•Monitor production environment and take corrective action
•Propose and drive changes and improvements to ensure optimum performance and reliability according to established IT performance metrics
Skills and Experience:
•Operating systems knowledge, Windows or Linux
•A self-starter and motivator that can excel in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
