We’re an organisation that likes to give back, so you’ll also have three charity days allocated to support a cause that matters to you.   About you: You are a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Specialist with a background in Big 4 accounting firms to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial services. Day-to-day, you will: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Month-End Process: Prepare key schedules in the month-end closing process and accurate completion of financial activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries. Collaborate with the local finance teams to consolidate financial data, review transactions, and resolve discrepancies. Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide requested documentation, explanations, and support for audit inquiries. Ensure adherence to audit requirements and assist in resolving any audit findings or discrepancies. Internal Controls: Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of internal controls to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks. Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis and trend analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and provide insights to management for decision-making. Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans to support business objectives. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function. Implement best practices and streamline workflows to improve accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial processes. Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory filings. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities. As a well-rounded Accounting Specialist, your Skills and Experiences likely include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA/ACCA/CA designation preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 4 years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
