​What brings me to work and makes me smile? I absolutely LOVE the culture at Access, its the people that make the difference.  We have the best and most down to earth real people!! Every day we manage to intertwine an element of fun and laughter throughout everything we do, there is always one person with that quick wit that causes me a little chuckle.  Professionally we have the most fantastic leadership team and it make me smile and proud to be part of it!

​I started working for Access in February 2019 as a Support Analyst following a recommendation from a friend. The Access values were present from my induction and have continued throughout.

There really is opportunity here for the people that want to work towards something and with mentoring from my manager plus support from the Recruitment team, I was able to move into professional services as a consultant a little over a year later.

At Access we Love Work, Love Life and my role brings new challenges, people and experiences my way every day!

​Access has a fantastic foundation for Learning & Development; it is one of the few organisations that have a dedicated team purely looking into the development of its employees. I have been involved in the Employee & Leadership Academies, both of which give you time outside of your day-to-day to really analyse where you’re at, what you’re good at and what could potentially be improved.

The Learning Management System built up of a series of accreditations is also very valuable; it allows employees to spend time learning new things or advancing their knowledge of something they already know which can then be put into practice. I have also been very lucky in that my Manager throughout my time at Access has not changed and so we have built a great relationship and can talk about anything in confidence; personal or business.

​Access has been a great support to me, whether it’s having great colleagues, understanding managers, encouraging leaders or excellent employee benefits such as the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). I have made use of this whole network and as a result my days feel balanced, I am confident and happy which exactly who I want to be. Although Access provide EAP free to its employees, it is entirely confidential and the helpline has been a great support to myself, my household, my colleagues and their families.

Colleagues joining Access via acquisitions cannot believe we have this programme and that the level of support has been a breath of fresh air, giving them the confidence that Access not only develops their careers but also provides a wide range of support. Access will support your wellbeing in any way they can, via leaders, colleagues, benefits or the EAP but it is important to remember to look after yourself also.
